As I move forward with my CCR, I want to have a clear idea on the response to each question.
That is why today I want to focus on " How does my product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?"
My film opening creates an emotional connection with viewers since our theme includes friendship along with dreams and college choices. College acceptance related stress and affect numerous people in our specific age bracket of young adults. The relationship between best friends provides deep emotions that keeps the audience involved throughout their story and what could potentially happen.
A real-life distribution route for our film includes streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime since they welcome coming-of-age dramas. The marketing strategy should use social media platforms like TikTok along with Instagram and YouTube to create attention for the film by focusing on reaching high school and college student demographics who would find value in this story. Most of GEN-Z is already on those social media platforms so it would be an ideal way to target them. Also, having recognition prior could be through independent film events dedicated to student-made films. At my school, they are involved with similar events which would be a perfect place to start.
